Mind Blown

“We are in danger of being stern where God is tender, and of being tender where God is stern.” -Oswald Chambers

Well if this isn’t the absolute truth! I mean seriously though. Think about it for a second. How many times do we allow ourselves to become softer towards certain things than others? How many times do we “give in” to those things that we know we should be standing FIRM in?

GUILTY! 🙋🏽‍♀️

Especially now and days I have found myself or even others be more okay with situations and concerns that should actually really upset us and break our hearts. We have tarnished the word love in order to fit our selfish ways and lifestyles. We have allowed the world to redefine the word tolerate. What we do not agree with is now a hate crime and if we do agree with something we are now the “bad guy”. It’s a lose-lose situation.

But guess what? Jesus didn’t come to win, He came to SAVE. He didn’t come to make friends but followers. Jesus did not die on the cross so we can take advantage of this life and do as we please. Totally disregarding the pain He endured.

We are not here to be liked. As a matter of fact, Jesus said “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.” (John 15:18)

So today, and every day, remember where you came from. Remember who created you and remember that you have a PURPOSE! We all are held accountable for the decisions we make here on this earth and we have no excuse to live a life apart from Christ.

“Remember to stay alert and hold firmly to all that you believe. Be mighty and full of courage.” 1 Corinthians 16:13 (TPT)
